1. The Department
Our Boys Academy Department has been awarded the prestigious category one status accolade demonstrating that we provide the highest level of quality coaching, education, training and facilities for our youth football provisions.
In order to deliver our ambitious plans for nurturing, encouraging and developing talent at this level we have an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join the Academy Sport Science and Medical Department.
2. The Role
We are seeking a self-motivated, forward-thinking and proactive individual to join the team.
You will lead the development and delivery of all aspects of Physiotherapy services to the Foundation Phase and Youth Development Phase squads (predominately U9-U14s). This will have a vital contribution towards the Academy Medical and Sport Science Department’s vision of optimising player availability and performance through an elite evidence-based medical provision.
Working at our Bodymoor Heath Training Ground, you will implement effective assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injured players. You will also adopt a proactive approach to injury prevention, delivering individualised and group athletic development sessions.

3. The Person
To be considered for this role, you will need to hold the following qualifications:
* BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy (minimum 2:1)
* Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) membership
* Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) membership
It would also be desirable for you to have (or be working towards) a MSc in a Physiotherapy related subject and to hold a current FA Level 5 Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football (ATMMiF) qualification.
You must have demonstratable experience of providing a high-quality physiotherapy provision to elite young footballers in a full-time or part time capacity within a football academy. You must be able to demonstrate a knowledge of applied anatomy, paediatric injuries and be able to perform clear and structured injury assessments that accumulate in injury diagnosis and associated detailed rehabilitation and integration planning. You must be a team player who has worked in an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary team.
