1. The Department

The Aston Villa Foundation is the official Charity of Aston Villa Football Club and prides itself in being innovative in its approach to the club being used as a ‘Force for Good’

The Football in the Community (FitC) department within the Aston Villa Foundation offers high quality football and multi-sport provision for children of all ages and abilities. All sessions and activities are delivered within a community or school setting and aim to increase physical activity, football participation and performance.

2. The Role

The FitC Officer will be responsible for leading and delivering high quality football and multi-skills sessions across a variety of school and community settings, at the same time identifying and driving new opportunities for the Football in the Community (FiTC) department.

You will lead on the growth and development of FitC programmes in designated geographical areas and play a key role in supporting the execution of the Aston Villa Foundation strategy and FitC departmental business plan.

You will also deliver high quality school sport and extra-curricular coaching sessions, ensuring all activities are delivered to the highest standard.

3The Person

We are seeking a minimum FA Level 2 (UEFA C) licenced football coach with experience of working in a community environment and leading football centres or holiday camps/courses. The successful candidate will have the ability to engage children of all ages and abilities with experience of working within education settings and an understanding of the National Curriculum for Key Stages 1 and 2.

Experience in mentoring and supporting others in a coaching or education capacity would also be beneficial.
