1. The Department
The Aston Villa Foundation is the official Charity of Aston Villa Football Club and prides itself in being innovative in its approach in supporting the Club as a ‘Force for Good’. This role sits within the Foundation Central Team, supporting the wider Foundation departments with their sustainability, growth and development.
2. The Role
The Grants Officer role is a new role for the Foundation and will work alongside a small but passionate and dedicated team of fundraisers. You will work closely with Foundations department Managers and Senior Leadership Team to help realise the aspirations and growth plans of the Foundation Charity, by unlocking funds to develop programmes that will help those people in our communities who need it most.
Working at Villa Park, you will be responsible for all aspects of the grant and tender process, from research, to writing and overseeing the monitoring and evaluation process, all in line with the strategic growth plans of the Aston Villa Foundation.

3. The Person
You will have a proven track record in sourcing and identify grants and tenders, with the ability of writing grants and/or tender of varying sizes and areas of work. Fundamental to the success of the role, you will be highly organised with the ability to oversee a large volume of potential grants and tenders inline with the submission dates. You will also have the ability to research local statistics and data to support applications
You will have strong written and verbal communication skills which are clear, concise, and accurate in a positive and professional manor. You will have the ability to liaise and engage with internal and external partners and have experience of presenting fundraising plans and projects.
