1. The Department

The Marketing Department is responsible for supporting the growth of the Club across all departments – aiming to deliver award-winning campaigns, excellent fan engagement and record-breaking commercial results. We work at a fast pace due to the nature of providing support for our commercial, brand and fan growth across all areas of the club.

The Fan Squad are a vital part of the team, supporting the entire Club in creating great fan experience and engagement for both Men’s and Women’s First Team matchdays. As our brand ambassadors, you will be the face of Aston Villa Football Club to fans at this exciting opportunity point of our journey.

2. The Role

As a Fan Squad Member, you’ll be the welcoming face fans see on a matchday. You will strive to make every fan feel included and excited, ensuring their time at Villa Park, Bescot Stadium, or any other club event is unforgettable.

Whether you are working in Fan Zones, VIP events, or helping fans through the stadium, you will be central to delivering a smooth, fun and positive experience.

On a matchday, you will have multiple responsibilities which may include:

*         Setup and pack down of any activity materials, such as banners, boards and flags.

*         Running entertainment, activities and competitions in the Fan Zone and pitchside experiences for fans pre-match and at half time.

*         Being a flag bearer and supporting stadium displays.

*         Greeting fans, providing directions, answering questions and overall enhancing the overall experience of all fans, from our young Villans to our longest serving supporters!

3. The Person

We are looking for someone who is positive, proactive and enthusiastic who can work as part of a wider team.  You will have experience of providing excellent customer service, ideally in an events-based environment or as a brand ambassador. You will have a good understanding of the importance of a fan/customer focused approach in enhancing the fan experience and have a proven ability to engage and communicate with a variety of people in a relaxed and friendly manner.

This role will require you to work flexibly on Men and Women’s matchdays which will include evenings and weekends, both indoors and outdoors.
