1. The Department

The Venue Operations team are responsible for the delivery of matchday hospitality and premium experiences.  This is an exciting time to join the team as we have expanded our range with over 15 areas and around 5,000 hospitality covers. We are continuing to grow - offering world-class, premium experiences in the Premier League in an unrivalled atmosphere, helping our guests create the kind of matchday memories that last a lifetime.

2. The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Hospitality Operations Manager to join our team working between Bodymoor Heath Training Ground and Villa Park. The role will work closely alongside Levy, our Club’s catering and hospitality partner who are responsible for our food and beverage operation, to ensure smooth service delivery, championing new ideas and working collaboratively to offer exceptional standards. A prime focus of this role will be being present on a matchday or event day to lead the delivery and management of the full operational process.

You will liaise and communicate between the internal and external providers that support our matchday operation whilst looking at things from a guest perspective, ensuring our experiences are best in class. You will support and liaise with other departments regarding feedback and communication. This will be a busy role in a fast-paced environment requiring managing multiple projects with a real opportunity to contribute to creating and delivering a best-in-class experience

3. The Person

You will need to have experience of delivering operational hospitality events and managing or supervising a team to deliver exceptional events with a high level of customer service, ideally in the sporting industry. You will need to have a keen eye for detail and process whilst being able to think about guest experience. You also need to be empathetic, able to support and resolve any complaints or concerns as and when required. You will need to be organised, with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a dynamic environment.

You will need to be available to work flexibly including Men’s, Women’s, Academy matchdays and any other Club events as and when required which will include evenings and weekends.  You will also need to hold a full, UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle to travel between our Club sites; Villa Park, London Office and Bodymoor Heath Training Ground.
