1. The Department

Our Boys Academy Department is proud to have achieved the prestigious Category One Academy status which reflects our commitment to delivering excellence across all areas of youth football including coaching, education, training, and facilities. We are dedicated to supporting and nurturing the next generation of elite footballers, as demonstrated in our memorable treble-winning 2024/25 season for our U18s as we topped the Under-18 Premier League Southern section table, the Under-18 Premier League national title and we lifted the prestigious FA Youth Cup.

The Boys Academy Performance Analysis Department are responsible for the analysis provision for our players ranging from U9 – U21. We work collaboratively with coaching staff to provide and deliver high quality analysis content through a variety of different methods to support the Academy Technical and Tactical programme.

We look to maximise the skillsets of each individual staff member to enhance the content produced within each area of our delivery cycle and has an excellent track record of providing a platform for the development of Performance Analysts.

2. The Role

In this role, you will be lead, oversee and develop the Boys Academy Analysis processes and staff alongside leading the U18 squad analysis provision (pre, live, post, statistical, databases). You will be responsible for providing staff and players with video, data and material that supports the development of individual players and support the implementation of the playing style.

3. The Person

We are looking for a forward-thinking and proactive individual to lead our function with a strong understanding of football and a demonstrable track record in player development, bringing innovative ideas and leadership.

You must have a BSc in Performance Analysis, Sports Coaching, Sports Science or a related qualification. You will need to have experience of providing analysis support within an elite football club and be comfortable using performance analysis software and Mac iOS and Windows.  A UEFA C / Level 2 coaching qualification and/or experience of playing football would also be advantageous.

You will need to be personable and able to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders with experience of managing and leading a small team of people in a football environment, preferably, an elite youth football development environment.

You will need to be available to work flexibly including evenings and weekends as and when required.
