1. The Department

The Aston Villa Foundation is the official Charity of Aston Villa Football Club and prides itself in being innovative in its approach to the club being used as a ‘Force for Good’.

The central team provides leadership, human resources, administrative and wider generic support for the Foundation’s eight departments, in order to allow departmental managers to deliver excellent, high quality and impactful programs.

2.  The Role

This is an exciting and multi-faceted role, for a skilled Media and Communications expert to work for an ever-expanding organisation with purpose.

The Media and Communications Manager will have the responsibility to lead the media and communications strategy for the Aston Villa Foundation, providing a critical function in a creative, dynamic and fast-paced environment as part of a large and expanding team.

The post-holder will work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders creating engaging content across multiple media disciplines and platforms, with the objective of increasing awareness of the work of the organisation amongst a variety of specific audiences and target segments.

3.  The Person

The Aston Villa Foundation are seeking a high-skilled, driven and purposeful Media and Communications Manager with a genuine interest in charitable and community work.

You will be experienced and proficient in creating engaging content, including video, photography, social media and written work, with a proven track record of success in increased awareness, digital engagement and brand loyalty amongst target audiences.

The Media and Communications Manager will be a creative and proactive individual and will be skilled in working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to create the best results.
