1. The Department

Our Boys Academy Department has been awarded the prestigious category one status accolade, demonstrating that we provide the highest level of quality coaching, education, training, and facilities for our youth football provision.

To continue to deliver our ambitious plans for identifying and developing talented young footballers, we have a new opportunity for a full-time coach to lead our Pre-Academy Provision (Under 8).

2. The Role

You will be responsible for identifying, recruiting and coaching young players into our development centres with the focus of signing elite players into our Academy Foundation Phase Programme.

The role will work closely with the Pre-Academy U8 players and parents to build and develop excellent working relationships and will involve delivering and supporting with players and parent feedback as and when required.

The postholder will assist with coaching sessions for Pre-Academy and Emerging Talent Centres, collaborating with the Head of Coach Development to ensure that all coaching programmes adhere and enhance to the Academy Performance Plan.

3. The Person

You must be qualified to at least UEFA B Licence and FA Youth Award Level. You will need to have experience of planning, delivering and monitoring elite football programmes and coaching young players.

You will also need to be a proficient and confident user of technology platforms used for planning, delivery and reflection.

You must also be available to work flexibly as this role will require you to work evenings and weekends, and you should ideally hold a full, UK driving licence and be able to travel between various sites.
