1. The Department

Our Facilities and Estates Department are responsible for looking after our facilities across all our sites – Villa Park, Bodymoor Heath Training Ground and our Brookvale Inner City Academy. This is an exciting time at the Club, we are celebrating our 150th anniversary, qualified for the 2024/25 Champions League and we are determined to continue growing our success on and off the pitch.

The Facilities and Estates Department are vital in this journey, supporting the major redevelopment work across all sites, enabling our day-to-day operations and matchdays to happen and making sure all our facilities are maintained to the highest possible standard.

2. The Role

We have two exciting opportunities for Cleaning Services and Waste Management Supervisors to join our expanding team with one based at Villa Park and one based at Bodymoor Heath Training Ground. You will be responsible for supervising the cleaning services teams and ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and customer service is maintained across the Club whilst complying with health and safety regulations.

You will ensure that all areas within the Club are kept to the highest standard of hygiene, health and safety and presentation and you will also undertake day to day duties including cleaning and maintenance of offices, corridors, toilets, kitchens and changing rooms such as sweeping, mopping and vacuuming.  The role will also have a specific focus on waste management, you will assist with the development, promotion and implementation of new waste disposal schemes to drive sustainability within the Club.

As the Supervisor, you will line manage the team including creating schedules, delegating duties amongst the team, managing performance, annual leave and any sick leave. You will be the first point of escalation for any concerns. You will also be responsible for completing all scheduled pre and post-matchday checks and site works in line with matchday fixture deadlines.

3. The Person

We are seeking an organised, motivated, and experienced Supervisor who is passionate about providing a ‘best-in-class’ service.

You must have previous experience working as a Cleaning Services and Waste Management Supervisor / Team Leader in a similar working environment with good knowledge of health and safety / cleaning requirements. You will need to have strong supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team to maintain the highest standards.

You must also be available to work flexibly as this role will require you to work evenings and weekends and you must have access to a vehicle and or the ability to travel between our Club sites.
