Hours of work: 40 Hours per week, (Including Matchdays, Evenings & Weekends)
Salary: £22,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on experience

1. The Department
As part of the Facilities and Estates department we are responsible for looking after the entire site here at Villa Park, and sometimes Bodymoor Heath including car parks, Academy indoor facility and obviously the main stadium pitch to the same high standard for Premier League, WSL and U23 fixtures.
2. The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for Grounds Person to join our award-winning sports turf Grounds team, based at Villa Park.
The role will be responsible for ensuring the stadium pitch is prepared to a high standard, pedestrian mowing, line marking, divoting and all aspects of pitch repair and preparation as well as the surrounding areas of the stadium such as car parks and hedges working under the guidance of the Grounds Manager. The work entails working outside in changing and often inclement weather conditions.

3. The Person
The ideal candidates will be passionate about the quality of their work, professional and skilled in their craft. Ideally you will have exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on team ethics and high standards. You will be working ‘hands-on’ as part of a dedicated team to maintain a top-class stadium pitch environment.
You should ideally have an NVQ Diploma (Level 2) in sports turf or equivalent, Spraying PA1, PA2, PA6 and a good knowledge of pitch maintenance and usage of machinery for looking after sports turf.
