1. The Department
Our Facilities and Estates Department are responsible for looking after our facilities across all our sites – Villa Park, Bodymoor Heath Training Ground and our Brookvale Inner City Academy. This is an exciting time at the Club, we are celebrating our 150th anniversary, qualified for the 2024/25 Champions League and we are determined to continue growing our success on and off the pitch. The Facilities and Estates Department are vital in this journey, supporting the major redevelopment work across all sites, enabling our day-to-day operations and matchdays to happen and making sure all our facilities are maintained to the highest possible standard.
2. The Role
As Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our estates and facilities at Bodymoor Heath Training Ground operate smoothly, efficiently and are best in class. You will be the first point of contact for our staff based on site regarding any maintenance-related queries and you will manage the team and any subcontractors who are working on site.
Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing a planned preventive and response maintenance programme including statutory works, providing technical and maintenance support, supervising the Building Management System (BMS) and managing our cleaning provision.

3. The Person
We are seeking a pro-active and organised individual to join our Facilities and Estates Team.
The successful candidate must hold a City and Guilds Level 2 qualification (or equivalent), IOSH working safely qualification and have a high-level understanding of Health and Safety requirements, procedures and best practice.
With a ‘can-do’ attitude and excellent communication skills, you must have demonstrable experience in managing a maintenance department (including budgets), and be able to inspire your team and create a positive working environment.
You will need to be able to work flexibly as the Club requires which will include matchdays, evenings and weekends. You will need to have a driving licence with access to a vehicle or the ability to travel between our Club sites, including Villa Park, London Office, and Bodymoor Heath Training Ground.
