1. The Department

The Retail Team are responsible for carrying out the front-line selling, driving sales revenue for the organisation and maintaining retail standards through the back of-house operations.

We are now looking to expand our team and the post holder will work in a dynamic environment and play a vital part in creating the first impression of the Aston Villa Club Shop working as a member of a ‘best-in-class’ team. 

2. The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Matchday Sales Assistant to join our Retail Team, ensuring that all visitors have a memorable and positive experience and creating the overall ultimate customer shopping experience.

You will be responsible for providing timely and friendly service at the tills, processing sales at payment points and handling financial transactions, supporting all of our customers when necessary. You will support replenishing stock, maintaining merchandising stands and tidying item displays in a tidy and efficient manner.

You will work towards sales targets by using effective selling skills to increase sales and highlighting promotional items to customers whilst always adhering and maintaining high standards of professionalism to ensure the Aston Villa Brad is always positively represented.

3. The Person

We are looking for a pro-active and positive individual, one who has the ability to work towards sales targets and enjoys working as part as a successful team.

The successful candidate must have proven sales experience working in a similar role as well as excellent customer service skills working within a sales environment.

Working within a fast-paced and dynamic environment, you must have excellent organisation and communication skills which includes being an active listener with the ability to be assertive and persuasive as and when required.

You must also be available to work flexibly as this role will require you to work matchdays, evenings and weekends.
