1. The Department
The Women's Football Department consists of our Senior First team who compete in the Barclays Women's Super League, the highest league in the country for professional women's football. The department also consists of a full youth academy structure, ages ranging from U9 through to U21 Academy programme.
In continuing our journey and building for the future, we are focusing our efforts to ensure our Women's Team have the resources in place to help us deliver our ambitious plans for nurturing, encouraging, and developing talent and striving to become a leading force in women’s football.
2. The Role
Working as a Physiotherapist you will deliver individualised player development and injury reduction strategies, as well as managing injury risk and enhancing individual team performance. You will contribute to the design and implementation of effective athlete monitoring strategies to ensure long-term athletic development of all Women’s players.
You will play a key role in the multi-disciplinary team working alongside the Women’s Football Medical Team to improve and extend the evidence-based medical provision and rehabilitation practices.

3. The Person
The successful postholder must have at a minimum:
* BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy (minimum 2:1)
* Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registration
* Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) member
* Have an up to date full Advanced Emergency Aid qualification, this should be Level 5 ATMMIF
* Be a UKAD Clean Sport Advisor
* Have appropriate medical indemnity to treat/advise players
You will have extensive experience of working within a professional team sport, and in the provision of Physiotherapy services to high performance elite athletes. You will need to be able to plan, deliver treatment and provide rehabilitation of sports injuries. You will need to have a comprehensive understanding of maturation, long-term athletic development and performance demands of a professional female athlete.
You will need to have a proactive, calm and positive attitude and be able to communicate in a clear and concise way.
You must hold a full, UK driving licence and be able to work flexibility as this role will require you to work evenings, weekends and matchdays as and when required.
