1. The Department

Our Boys Academy Department has been awarded the prestigious category one status accolade, demonstrating that we provide the highest level of quality coaching, education, training and facilities for our youth football provision.

In order to deliver our ambitious plans for nurturing, encouraging and developing talent at this level, we have a new, exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and proactive individual to join our Player Care Team working with the Foundation and Youth Development Phases.

You will have the opportunity to develop a programme that ensures that our off-field support is structured and co-ordinated leading to creating the best possible experience and environment for our Players.

2. The Role

Working within the Player Care team, you will be responsible for the delivery of the Foundation and Youth Development Phase player care and personal development programme which will include planning, delivering and monitoring the programme for your allocated age group.

As a Player Care Manager, you will collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure holistic development and that player personal development and wellbeing is at the centre of player support. You will support players, parents and staff directly and feedback on player development. You will be a designated Safeguarding Officer for the relevant age phases.

3. The Person

The successful candidate will have experience supporting young elite performers with holistic support via personal development and wellbeing provision. You will need to have experience of working with young players prioritising safeguarding and duty of care. You will also need to have proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and have demonstratable experience of planning, delivery and monitoring of elite player development programmes.
