1. The Department

Our Boys Academy Department has been awarded the prestigious category one status accolade, demonstrating that we provide the highest level of quality coaching, education, training, and facilities for our youth football provision.

In order to continue to deliver our ambitious plans for nurturing, encouraging and developing talent at this level, we have an exciting opportunity for a Youth Development Phase Coach  to join the coaching provision.

2. The Role

The role will work within the Youth Development Phase specific programme which will involve co-ordinating, preparing, coaching, managing and debriefing the development programme for an age group – ensuring that it aligns to the Academy Performance Plan. You will ensure that all Individual Player Multidisciplinary Development Plans are devised, managed and reviewed to meet the needs of the individual.

The post holder will be required to liaise closely with the Head of Coach Development and Youth Development Phase Lead Coach to play a pivotal role in helping to develop the Clubs players through the Youth Development Phase.

3. The Person

The successful candidate must be qualified to at least UEFA A Licence or FA Advanced Youth Award level and hold Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAIF) Level 2. You will need to have demonstrable experience of planning, delivering and monitoring elite football programmes within a Category 1 or 2 Academy with YDP players.

We are looking for a Coach with proven communication skills who wants to continually improve themselves and the players they are working with.  You will also need to be a proficient and confident user of technology platforms used for planning, delivery and reflection.

You must also be available to work flexibly as this role will require you to work evenings and weekends, and you should ideally hold a full, UK driving licence.
