1. The Department
Aston Villa Football Club Boy’s Academy are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join their Academy Medical Department in a role primarily focused on providing pitch side emergency medical services during academy training sessions and fixtures, on a variable hours basis.
2. The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing pitch side emergency aid cover to Academy Players (Pre-Academy up to aged 16 groups), whilst also assisting full time Academy medical staff in the assessment and rehabilitation of injured players (where required), the delivery of bespoke activation, warm up and gym sessions focused on athletic development, and the implementation of specific injury reduction strategies.

3. The Person
You will need to be an active member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy or the Society of Sports Therapist/Sports Therapy Association. The successful candidate must be a clear, concise, and accurate communicator with the ability to liaise and build successful relationships with a range of colleagues, players and parents. You must also be available to work flexibly, predominantly on evenings and weekends. You will need to be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of applied anatomy and pediatric injuries, ideally in a sporting environment.
